Hi! I’m Alison Plueckhahn.
I’m a full-time college student at Baylor University + part-time photographer. Most days you can find me studying for school or looking at pictures of corgi puppies online with a cup of coffee in my hand. I’m very passionate about my faith, so if you stick around long enough, you’ll probably hear a lot about it.
I love to work with people who aren’t into the stiff, #basic, overly-posed photography, but prefer the candid, the real, + the authentic. I want to make you feel like your coolest, prettiest, + most confident self. I also totally support you bringing your dog along to the shoot 🙂
My photography has won several awards from places like the Association of Texas Photography Instructors or in the U.S. Congressional Art Contest. My photos have also appeared in a couple of books, on the front cover of a local magazine, and in online publications like Texas Football magazine.
When I’m not busy studying or working, you can catch me curled up with a good book, hanging out with friends + my super cute boyfriend, or making crafts, like painting or embroidering (or testing out some random DIY I find on Pinterest ). I currently live in Waco for school, so I love to explore the town + hang out at one of the many cute coffee shops.
Here are five things you might not know about me:
- I’ve changed my major three times (sorry, Mom & Dad!), but I’ve finally decided on Public Relations with a Political Science minor.
- My Myers-Briggs is ISTJ.
- My bucket list vacation is Iceland. I look up airfare and try to convince my friends to go with me probably once a week.
- I started photography back in 2011 and have made some major progress since then. I started with portrait photography but eventually focused on sports throughout high school. During my freshman year of college, I took some photos for a friend and was once again hooked on portrait photography! You can read more about my photography journey (and see some of the horrible photos I took back in the day) here!
- I’m pretty sure I’m lactose-intolerant, but I will never give up Panera mac & cheese.
