I’m a College Graduate!

Photos by Hannah Haston Photography

I’m writing this post a few days early, but by the time it goes live, I’ll have a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Political Science from the best school, Baylor University!

It’s such a cliché, but college really was the best four years of my life! Some of my hardest days happened while I was enrolled at this school, but all the incredible things far outweigh them. I met the man who is now my fiancé, I made some incredible friends, I got a puppy, and I grew so much in my faith. Oh, and I earned a degree and a minor 🙂

I didn’t initially plan on going to Baylor. From my junior year of high school, I was dead-set on going to UT Austin. Then right before my senior year began, I visited SMU in Dallas and loved it! UT and SMU are super different, but I just could not decide between the two of them!

About halfway through my senior year, I was visiting with my friend who was a freshman at Baylor. She talked about how great her experience was and that I should really consider applying. Honestly, the only reason I did apply was that the application was free. I heard back a few weeks later that I was accepted, and my mom and I decided we may as well take advantage of some of the excused absences I had at school for college visits!

The whole time we were on our campus tour, I just had this feeling that I had finally found the perfect school. Everyone was so kind, the campus is beautiful, and I loved the Christian atmosphere. On the way home from Waco, I told my mom I wanted to go there!

I changed my major three times over these past four years, but here I am, still graduating on time! 🙂 Thank you so much to all my family and friends (especially my incredible parents and fiancé!) who helped me accomplish this! I’m so sad to be leaving this incredible school and moving out of Waco which has become my home over the past four years, but I can’t wait to see what God has in store for Hudson and I going forward!

Thanks again to the talented Hannah Haston Photography for the senior photos! Check out a few more of my favorites from my session with her below! 🙂
